I don’t teach leadership from theory. I built it inside high-stakes systems.
With a background in bioengineering from Lomonosov Moscow State University — graduating with highest honors and completing my Master’s degree at 23 — I was trained to think in systems, precision, and cause–effect relationships.
I entered Merck & Co early in my career and advanced rapidly. Within just three months, I was already onboarding and training new hires — mastering complexity faster than expected, and translating it into clarity for others.
By 26, I stepped into a Team Lead role, managing people, processes, and performance in a data-driven environment where decisions carry real consequences.
My approach integrates structured thinking, behavioral insight, and what I call system awareness — the ability to identify exactly where something breaks down and fix it at the root.
Today, I work with people who don’t need motivation — they need clarity, precision, and decisions they can stand behind.
Elina Tongieva is a personal coach based in Zurich, Switzerland. She works with people who carry consequential decisions on decision-making, leadership behavior, and internal alignment. Her background spans bioengineering at Lomonosov Moscow State University and a career at Merck & Co, where she became a Team Lead at 26. She offers four private coaching programmes — from a one-month intensive to a six-month partnership — and a complimentary 20-minute Strategic Session as the first step.

This is not traditional coaching.
This is a structured, high-level intervention into how you think, decide, and lead. We identify where your system breaks — in decision-making, leadership, or internal alignment — and rebuild it with precision.
The result: faster decisions, restored balance, and leadership you can rely on under pressure.
For moments when something feels off — and needs to be fixed now.
When you need more than a quick fix — you need structural clarity.
For people ready to operate at a different level.
A high-touch container for long-term leadership evolution.
Limited availability.
I work with a small number of clients to ensure depth, precision, and results.

A personal coach in this practice works on how you decide, not on what to decide. The focus is the decision system itself: how information gets weighed, where judgment distorts under pressure, which calls keep getting postponed, and whether commitment holds once a decision is made. The result is faster decisions, cleaner reasoning, and leadership that stays steady when the stakes rise.

Classic executive coaching usually covers a broad agenda — presence, communication, career, team dynamics. Decision coaching narrows the work to the point where value is created or destroyed: the decision itself. Sessions target live decisions, the patterns underneath them, and the system that produces them. It is a structured intervention into how you think, decide, and lead — not open-ended exploration.
Yes. Elina is based in Zurich and coaches worldwide. All sessions are held online over Zoom, so the work is not tied to a location and people outside Switzerland follow the same programmes. Time zones are agreed when scheduling. Every engagement starts the same way — with a 20-minute Strategic Session booked directly in the calendar.
Sessions are private 1:1 conversations held online over Zoom. A session normally runs about an hour, adjusted to the client and the pace of the work, and the rhythm between sessions is agreed together rather than fixed in advance. Before the first session you receive an agreement setting out how the collaboration works. Between sessions you can reach Elina by messenger, on whichever channel suits you. Sessions can be moved with 24 hours’ notice.
English, German and Russian. The language is agreed at the start and stays consistent through the programme, so nothing is lost translating a decision into a second language mid-conversation. This site is published in English and German; the Strategic Session can be held in any of the three.
There are four private programmes, running from one to six months. Precision Reset is a one-month intensive with four 1:1 sessions. Strategic Realignment runs two months and eight sessions. Leadership Recoding is a three-month transformation with twelve sessions. Executive Mastery is a six-month private partnership with twenty-four sessions and continuous strategic support between them.
With a 20-minute Strategic Session: first conversation, no fee, confidential. It is booked directly in the Cal.com calendar on this site — pick a slot and a confirmation with the call link follows. Bring the decision you are currently sitting on. By the end of the call it is clear which programme fits, and the investment is discussed there.
Strategic Sessions are not about tools or techniques. They are space to think out loud, surface blind spots, and decide with confidence. Pick a time that works.
